We saw Epik High again — Epik High All Time High Tour in Denver

Hello friendssss~ I’m still in the middle of my little vacation~ As y’all know, me and BAYOG are big fans of Epik High. To the point that it’s now kind of become tradition for us to go see them together since their 2019 North America Sleepless In _______ Tour. It started with the [2019 Sleepless in Chicago concert]. Then last year we saw them for the [2022 Epik High Is Here in Denver concert]. We did VIP for both, and they were totally worth it. Well, we returned to Denver for the 2023 All Time High concert~ Loha and my bestie Jess were super sweet to get us the VIP tix for this concert~ Thank youuuu~ I love you, besties~ Anyway, I’m doing another concert story time, mainly so I can relive it in the future~ But I know some of y’all enjoy my concert story times cuz y’all feel like you’re a part of it with me ahaha~ So buckle in~ Cuz lots of unexpected things happened haha.

Before I get into this year’s concert, we gotta backtrack to our previous experiences. Again, I’m a huuuuge fan of Epik High. Been a High Skool since like 2004-2005. Then I got Jess and the rest of BAYOG into them. 2019 was the year we decided to check “See Epik High live” off our bucket list. We went for VIP so we could also cross off meeting them~ So me, Jess, Loha (@loheezy) and Kenny (@blackandyellowog) flew to Chicago to see them. Also, it was crazy cuz I just flew back from Thailand the day before. So I was jetlagged AF. I actually kind of memory blacked out when we met Epik High too. Then the pandemic hit. So no concerts.

2022 comes around and Epik High announces their first tour post-pandemic. Jess said, “Let’s gooo!” So we came to Denver. It was a good way for me to explore a new area. Plus, I wanted to make sure not to memory blackout. It was great! Especially because we’d been so close. But also bad. So full story in that [Denver concert post], but it was a crazy journey. First off, me, Loha, and Kenny flew in town to meet up with Jess. We were so excited for the concert. Except it ended up getting postponed since Epik High got snowed in on their way. Loha and I flew back in 2 weeks later. It was kind of nice that it was moved to a bigger and nicer venue. However, our tendency to be blessed, but cursed at concerts continued. Short version of the bullshit we experienced at the concert: We did have VIP tix, so we were let in early and were by the barricade. Had 2 people in front of us. Then they kept letting their friends push through in front of us. It wasn’t like 1-3 people. It ended up being like 20+ people. No exaggeration. 3-4 of them were tall dudes who were taller than Loha. They were basically a wall that blocked me and Jess’ view. I could barely see over their shoulder because of 3-inch heeled boots. Jess, however, couldn’t see a damn thing. The whole group was rude AF and knew exactly what they were doing. One of them even told their friends, “It’s okay because we paid to be here.” Like bitch, we all paid to be here. If anything, me and Loha paid extra cuz we flew in from out of state, twice. My flight was like $600. So in total I spent over a grand flying out to Denver twice. We’re not even mentioning the VIP tix prices. So yeah, I was really pissed. Because of this, Jess and I vowed that we’d aim for right at the barricade next time, and that we wouldn’t take bullshit. Still, at least the M&G photo came out cute, despite that we were masked up. Also, I was happy to finally convey my message of gratitude to Epik High and how they really helped me and my sis during her accident. Full details on that in the other post though. So now we come to 2023 with the All Time High tour.

As usual, we saw the tour announcement. So we were like, “Let’s go!” Sadly, it would be just me, Jess, and Loha again this time. Kenny couldn’t make it. So a few months ago, Jess and I came to see [ONE OK ROCK in Denver]. I point this out because the Epik High concert was to be at the same venue, The Ogden Theatre. So aside from wanting to be at the front and not dealing with the bullshit from last year, there was another reason we wanted to get there early. We remembered the line for the ONE OK ROCK concert being long AF. Like 2 blocks, past the crosswalk. Parking was a pain to find too. Loha wasn’t there with us, so he didn’t understand why we wanted to be there so early. But yeah, Jess and I were adamant on being at the venue early. The concert was to start at 8pm. We first stopped by to get some banh mi at a Vietnamese bakery so we’d have something to eat in line while we waited. Ended up at The Ogden Theatre by like 3:30-4 pm. Yeah, we were too early LMAO Like no one was in front of the theater. Barricades and security weren’t even set up. So we went to the parking area behind the theater and sat in the car wondering what to do. Me and Jess were kinda stressed. Loha was like confused and still didn’t understand. But we also couldn’t leave the car since there was no one to verify that we had parking passes for there. It was a private area and we didn’t wanna get ticketed/towed.

So we sat in the car for a while. Then I realized, “Oh, shit! Yo, isn’t that their tour bus??” We realized we were parked by Epik High’s tour bus. Panicked cuz we didn’t wanna seem like sasaeng/stalker “fans”. Didn’t help that we had the windows rolled down and were listening to our Epik High playlist… Also, the reason why we freaked out was cuz we know Epik High doesn’t like fans hanging around their bus for privacy and safety reasons (totally valid). By the way, I only took a pic for storytime purposes when in the future I’m like, “Remember that time we accidentally kept making ourselves look like sasaeng fans?” But again, we weren’t trying to be stalkers. We just didn’t know where to go or what to do. So we were stuck there. Also didn’t help that at one point, Jess freaked out and screamed, “OMG! Is that Tukutz?!” lol I also didn’t really help. Cuz I was on my phone, kinda zoned out, and jamming along to the music and started screaming along, [“I. AM. GROOT, MOTHER FUCKEEEERRRRR!!!”] Then Jess and Loha were like, “OMG!!! Mindyyyy!!!” lmao Especially cuz I just finished saying that we shouldn’t make it easy to misunderstand that we’re sasaengs or something. Meanwhile, Loha just thinks we’re crazy and funny lolol Loha is never fully in the loop and is always judging us lmao

After like 30 minutes of sitting in the car, we decided to have Loha go check on the line situation. Only cuz he was the only one in our group not wearing the matching Epik High concert t-shirt from 2019. We coordinated to match. Loha forgot his lolol Welp, there were already like 20 people. So we decided to leave Loha with the car until the parking situation is verified. Meanwhile, Jess and I would go wait in line. Mind you, it’s like maybe like 4-4:30 pm now. But it was a warmer day with no clouds. It was hot AF. So I did my job as the tall(er) friend and provided shade for my short bestie LMAO. I love her~ haha~ We were in front of some axe-throwing place too. So we were just watching them throw axes and daggers. Also, this was the most sun I got in like…a year lmao. My pasty Asian ass literally does not go outside. Except for when I’m running some errands (usually grocery or accountant related), so I’m barely exposed to the sun most of the year lmao.

This girl came up to us and handed us this little package of freebies. It was really cute actually. Cuz like, we’ve been to several concerts, but never got freebies before. It included a red pom pom, a card with Epik High, some Hi-chews, strawberry candy, strawberry bracelets, and some info from the person who organized it. Jess and I did initially switch the little baggy with the bracelet and Hi-chew candies. Cuz I didn’t care for mango and she didn’t care for the flavor she got. So the trade was perfect. They had another freebie bag they gave out later that also included glow sticks too. Surprisingly, the line didn’t grow that much longer. I think it was only like 5-10 more people by the time Loha did manage to get the parking verified. He came over. Jess was like, “You have to go get a freebie!” Loha didn’t really care for it at first. But Jess was like, “We need matching bracelets!!!” They came back, then she saw he had a red bracelet and was like, “Switch with me! I need the red one to match with Mindy!” To which Loha was like, “??? WTF???” LMAOOOO The sweet girl behind us was like, “I have a red one, do you want to switch with the pink one, so you all have red?” Jess was like, “It’s ok! Thank you though!~” lol Jess and Loha did switch though~ So Jess and I got matching red strawberries, while Loha got the pink one~ Then I was like, “Oh, they had another freebie thing?” It was the one with the glow sticks. Cuz I saw Loha holding it. Jess was like, “Yeah!” Took Loha’s and gave it to me. And Loha was like, “??? Did…did you just donate my freebie…??” LMAOOOO No worries though, cuz the freebie girl came by and gave us more lol

It was getting closer to 6 pm. They were starting to give VIP their lanyards. We had legit lanyards this time. It was cool~ Anyway, Jess and I spotted a girl with a strawberry beret whom we thought was one of the problematic girls from last year. We were lowkey still mad. Then they corralled all of us VIP people with the lanyards in a barricade by the doors. Well, Strawberry Beret was there. But she was passing out random K-Pop albums for free…? Anyway, I ended up with a Woosung album and a The Rose album. Jess and me were like, “Oh, cool…but still kinda lowkey bitter and mad…” lol They started letting VIP in at 7 pm. So this was our plan: Jess would go buy the merch, while Loha and I would find and secure our spots. Unfortunately, the barricade was full. But we were ok with being behind the first barricade people. We chose the middle-ish section of the stage. Also cuz one of the girls was pretty short, so I was like, “This a good spot for Jess.” Cuz our position would be: me, Jess, then Loha to the right. Also, turns out the girls in front of us were the freebies girls~ The girls behind us were also really chill. And we were all cordial to each other with, “Oh, let me know if I’m blocking you or anything.” We had a pleasant chat. Found out they were Stays and Atinys. We also found out it was their first Epik High concert~ We also kinda explained to them what happened to us last year.

Here’s the problem though. A bunch of familiar girls started coming to Loha’s right side… Yeah, they were the girls from last yeaaaarrrrrrr!! We literally saw them and where like, “MOTHER FU—-” So we had Jess rush back. Cuz they were already starting to pull the same shit. Jess then asked if we should warn the girls behind and in front of us. Cuz she already overheard them planning shit. So yeah, we decided to warn them. They were like, “AW HELL NAH. We’ll be sure not to let them in!” Like cuz we also explained to them exactly what happened last year. But they were sweet and like, “Don’t worry! We won’t let them do that to you this time! And we’ll make sure you can be seen in the picture!” They were also nice enough to let me put my tote bag full of shit against the barricade in front of them. Cuz initially I had it tied to my little messenger purse. But it was so heavy that it was cutting off my circulation. So honestly, bless these girls. They really did make sure the girls to Loha’s right didn’t encroach more into our space. Like they were already kinda pushing on Loha. There was a tiny gap in front of Jess and Loha. Like just enough for like maybe 2 feet. Jess heard them scheming shit, so I was like, “Put your foot in.” The short girl in front of Jess saw us put our foot in, looked up at us, smiled, and then put her foot in too, and was like, “I got you!” LOLOL~

Also, there was a weird part where a phone fell in that little gap. I thought it was Jess’ phone. She thought it was mine. The short girl in front of Jess thought it was one of ours. So the three of us (and Loha) had this awkward and confused look as we looked at each other. But turns out it belonged to one of THOSE girls. She was like behind Loha too. So we were all like, “How the fuck did that even end up here…???” lolol

Real talk, the girls in front and behind us were super sweet and chill. Like these are the kinds of experiences I missed at concerts. I missed meeting chill people and feeling like we all connect and vibe together. And it’s always especially great when you walk away making new friends! I later had this whole conversation with a friend I met from a Wonder Girls concert I went to over a decade ago. Like that was literally the last time I went to a concert where we vibed with people we met and made friends. So I was happy we got that kind of experience this time. Cuz we’ve been to concerts together for like a decade, and never got that kinda experience. It’s almost always where we’re stuck with awful people. So this was such a great change and experience~

Anyway, back to the concert. We were just chilling, vibing, and also enjoying the music they were playing. It was basically all of NewJeans, Eric Nam, some DPR Ian, and other stuff. We also tried to do our traditional group photo with that bunny glasses filter on the Snow app. But…the lighting there was really shit LMAO Like the nice girl behind us tried to help. Girl was going for all the angles and stuff, but the lighting was so bad LMAO We did end up retaking it after the show when they turned all the lights on though.

Epik High definitely upped up their equipment. Cuz I remember Tukutz’s DJ booth always being like table with a cloth that had the Epik High logo on it. But we got some fancy equipment. We also had a screen that played some pre-recorded vid on it. Unfortunately, though, we couldn’t really see the screen LMAO That as the disadvantage of being at the very front of the stage, but also the DJ booth kinda blocked the view too. But it was still cool~ It opened with a vid of Tablo and Eddie talking and making some Denver jokes. Then Epik High finally came on stage. Because it was April 1st/April Fool’s they went with a joke that Epik High was stuck on the bus and we were stuck with Denver’s best Epik High cover band lol

I will say that I got a ton of crisp-looking photos and videos. However, the bass was strong AF. I’m not kidding when I say that I was nearly knocked back cuz of the force from the bass LMAO It was awesome~ However, that does mean that the audio for all my videos are absolutely distorted and shit. But at least the vids are crisp~ I remembered to use the UHD setting this time… My phone is not the best, but the pics came out better than I thought haha. Also… I thought I was being smart by making room on my phone the night before so I wouldn’t have to mass delete things in the middle of the concert (like always). I even deleted my less important apps. I thought 32 GB would be just fine. I thought that I was set… Well, I was wrong… UHD comes with a price y’all lmao. I got my hella crisp AF vids and photos. However, I used up 32 GB hella fast. In fact, I did end up having to mass delete shit as fast as I could so I wouldn’t miss shit. I made sacrifices and even deleted my webtoon apps, webnovel apps, and my BTS Island game LMAOOO. Anything to get like another minute of recording time lolol

The sheer panic I went through every time I ran out of space and had to quickly delete apps cuz Tablo, Mithra, or Tukutz was in my fucking faaaaace… At one point, I literally was like, “OH FUCK! TABLO IS RIGHT IN MY FREAKIN’ FACE!!” “Mindy…maybe you don’t need to record everything…?” Nope. I gotta capture all the things. For one, I knew I’d blog about it. But mostly it’s because, again, I don’t go out much. I do maybe 1-2 trips a year if I’m lucky. Those are the few times I see friends and do anything remotely fun. So I like to capture every moment I can so I can relive it and have a little serotonin boost~ I really do rewatch a lot of my videos. And I most definitely did end up rewatching all my videos and pictures during my flight back~ Also, I may try to capture everything, but I most certainly hold onto concert etiquette. I always make sure not to obstruct other people’s views and I definitely try to never ruin another person’s concert experience~

I will say I did fairly good though. It wasn’t until [Born Hater] that I was having to mass delete apps lmao~ That was one of the last like 4-5 songs. Anyway, I do have the set list for y’all. One of the girls in front got to keep a copy of the set list and Jess was nice enough to get a pic of it for me~ Although I did realize it was missing [Eyes, Nose, Lips]. So I’mma write it out for y’all anyway.

Anyway, they opened up with Strawberry, but that’s basically a beat. The first song where they actually perform anything was On My Way. I’ll be honest. Loha is my bro, but I definitely didn’t really check out his reactions as much lol I most definitely did check out Jess’ a lot though haha. Cuz she’s literally right next to me. But I was so happy that she was happy cuz she could actually fucking see this time lmao Anyway, when Epik High came out, Jess and I looked at each other and were just squealing. Cuz we were like, “Holy fuck! We’re so close!”

But I swear we were like on the verge of tears once Tablo got even closer. Like arm’s length away~ We were just looking at each other and screamed. It was like, “MISSION COMPLETE BESTIE!!!” Definitely one of the top 10 moments where we can both say we felt an ultimate sense of happiness during our friendship lmao. Anyway, it was that moment I was like, “I’m truly so thankful Jess is my bestie. I’m so happy I could experience with her.” She’s the best for getting us VIP tix, getting us there, and everything. Loha too, of course~

This was definitely the best concert experience we’ve had. And it just felt better and better. Like, all the members came up to us real close. So much interactions~ I was so fucking estatic when they started performing Fly too. Again, one of my top fave Epik High songs. I think it’s just THE Epik High track that everyone knows~ Plus it’s so uplifting and definitely one of their more upbeat tracks~

And everytime one of the members came up real close, we definitely looked at each other and screamed hella loud. Map the Soul is honestly one of my top fave tracks ever. So I was soooo fucking happy that they performed it! It was also so fucking cool to have Tablo right in front of me~ And to also have Mithra right in front of me too!~ Like, honestly, I was in complete bliss~ And we’re only like 3 songs in! Although I was starting to realize the struggle of trying to capture everything. Cuz I was like, “Do I pan left or right? Do I focus on Blo or Mithra???” lolol

Acceptance Speech was cool~ But Rosario was next, and it’s definitely one that all three of us love. I know it was Loha’s favorite from the Epik High Is Here album~ Plus it’s such a great song that everyone really gets into~ But once that bass dropped, the audio in my recording was obliterated LMAO. This was also one of the parts where I was almost knocked back from the sheer force of the bass LOLOLOL It was also cool to see that they had the animation from their Coachella (?) perf a while back. But yeah, me, Jess, and Loha were having a blast for this one and just screaming along what we could haha.

And perfect song to follow Rosario was Burj Khalifa~ I think that was the one Loha was most looking forward to. It’s honestly such a great hype song. But also, one of the songs where they go crazy dousing us in Epik High holy water tons of water. Which, by the way, we were soaked by the end of the night. Particularly Jess LMAO She ended up looking like a wet, but cute puppy. But she also seemed like the happiest puppy lmao Literally, it’s one of the reasons why we always aim to be as close as possible for Epik High concerts. Cuz them throwing water is one of the best parts~ This is also one of the songs I remember turning to look at Jess and just seeing her have a blast. I was like, “I’m so happy my bestie is happy~” haha Literally one of THE moments I think of when I think of this concert is seeing Jess yell along to this song haha. Specifically, “SAY NO, NO, NO TO DRUGS~”, “FUCK COMPETITION”, and of course… “BURJ! KHALIFA!~” Oh! And of course, “MY HIGH IS EPIK!” I can kinda hear it in my recordings, despite the distorted audio. But honestly, I’m so happy you can hear how happy we sound haha. BTW, I realized later (when I was rewatching it on the plane) that Mithra actually slipped at one point lol But he was so smooth about it lolol

No Thanxxx was the next track. Also, another great track that everyone gets into~ Plus, I love that Tukutz gets out of the DJ booth to come rap~ He also does his little dances and all too haha. Also, so cute to hear Jess just yell, “STOP FUCKING UP MY VIBE~” hahaha. She’s cute cuz she’s like afraid to sing along most of the time cuz she doesn’t know the Korean lyrics. But it’s so cute when she jumps in with those lines lmaooo But yeah, Tukutz was straight up right in front of us for this one hehehe~

Then there was a little talking break. They asked about the pom poms from the girls in front of us. But also, the short girl in front of Jess had a sign. It said, “Please draw my next tattoo!” So there was that convo with some jokes from Blo. He was like, “…are you sure…? Cuz like, it’d be on you forever??” She was like, “YES!!!” In the end it was a cute little smiley face, with the face kinda being off to the side lmao

Tablo then did a little talk about collabs and all. And Jess looked at me and was like, “OMG! RM! MINDY! YOUR SONG!” hahaha. It was RM’s All Day that featured Tablo. Cuz my bestie of course knows that I’m BTS ARMY lolol~ Look, I always make a concert prep playlist with the setlist for the tour. So we knew this song would be coming haha. But yeah, this was one of the songs I was most looking forward to~ Tablo was like, “I would like to ask you all to sing along.” And for sure, I screamed along lmao It was just a short performance of it, but I loved every moment~

Following “All Day” was Tablo’s version of Taeyang’s “Eyes, Nose, Lips”. This was the one Jess was most looking forward to~ Cuz it’s fucking good. But also cuz she was like, “It’s in English so I actually know the lyrics!!!” LMAO She’s so cute~ I love this song, but also was like lowkey like “heh…” when I heard it. Random TMI story, but there was someone I used to consider my best friend. We’d known each other since middle school. Reconnected during high school before college. I used to consider him my closest guy friend and my best friend. It was cool. But changed after he started dating a girl I knew. Everyone was against it. I was the only one who supported them and vouched for him. Long story short, he started to stop talking to me. Yet was close to everyone who gave them shit for their relationship. My friendship was basically only at his convenience. He’d only talk to me again when they broke up and he needed someone to cry and talk to. But then they’d make up. It was a cycle for like 2 years. Parts of this song always reminds me of what a wreck that friendship was. “Funny that you got the nerve to keep asking me how I’ve been…” and “They say that time flies, but you keep breaking it’s wings” really described it cuz I tried giving our friendship so chances. In the end, it really is, “You wish me well, I wish you hell.” Cuz it became one of my most painful friendships, and in the end, I gave up trying with that friendship and I didn’t bother keeping up contact with him after that. Although, I did randomly run into him at a boba shop once. I also once accidentally saw this dude at a concert a few years ago, and spent the whole time avoiding him lmao But yeah, I also just bring this TMI story up just cuz dude saw me post about this tour on IG and DMed me, asking me if I was going… LMAO I was like, “Yeah, but not in ____. I’m going out of state with my bestie.” Anyway, yeah, that’s my TMI story…

Next up was Rain Song, which I looooove~ Y’all know Colde is one of my fave KRNB artists~ They had Mithra sing Colde’s verses and Tablo sang it too~ Tukutz was lipsyncing Younha’s part haha.

One was next, and it’s definitely a classic and another fave~ This is also probably Epik High song where they have the most dancing and “choreo” lol Tukutz had his lil solo dance break too~ He kinda came down on the platform right in front of us too haha~

After that was Born Hater. Definitely a fave haha. This was also where Tablo was like, “FYI, We’re gonna be throwing a lot of water on y’all and ruin your hair and all. But before that, let’s take a picture together.” So we took the group photo. And the girls in front were so sweet. They leaned to the side to make sure Jess and I would be seen. And yup. We can be seen right above Tablo’s head haha. So bless those girls~

And as promised, water was thrown everywhere. Jess was completely soaked lmaoooo My phone was wet too lolol It was awesome~ We were blessed in that Epik Holy Water haha. Yaknow, when Born Hater first dropped, I liked it…but I didn’t LOVE it. I liked it, but it wasn’t originally one of my faves. It only became one of my faves after experiencing them perform it live haha. But yeah, this was also when they paused a bit and were throwing out an autographed tote bag into the crowd. Then they finished the rest of the song.

It then went into Don’t Hate Me~ Honestly, when this first originally dropped, I wasn’t a huge fan of it. But once again, it really grew on me after experiencing it live haha. I know find it one of the really fun songs that they perform~ Lots of upbeat energy that makes you wanna jump and shout the lyrics along~ We got drenched in more of that Epik High holy water hahahaha~ Like, plentyyyy haha~ Don’t Hate Me was supposed to be the “last song”.

Of course, that’s never true haha. After changing real quick, they came out and perform the encore songs. First one was Catch. If you saw [my last Music Monday post], ya know that’s my fave track from the Strawberry EP. I loved this soooo freakin’ much~ Also, this is where I kinda stopped having pictures of the actual performances. I was prioritizing space for videos LMAO Anyway, Mithra was very close to us too haha~ It was fan service for everyone’s recordings~They then started performing Kill This Love. Truthfully, this isn’t one of my fave songs from them. But it was still such a great performance. Plus I got great shots of them throwing more water on us lololol Useless note…but I had to stop recording in UHD and downgraded the quality to be able to film more vids lmaooo Still got lots of fun vids. They started performing New Beautiful, which to this day I’m not sure if I hate or love it lolol But it’s still a fun song to bounce along to at the concert~ Tablo got down real from the stage and came real close the barricade too. He grabbed one of the pom poms and was just happily swinging it around haha. He was also all up and close to everyone’s phones for their recordings too~ Mithra then later jumped down in front of the barricade and started jumping around and throwing more water on us. Honestly, even if it’s not my fave song, I just love the energy everyone has. Plus, it’s clear everyone had been really enjoying themselves~

That was it. It was over. They were done performing. Mithra and Tukutz were in front of the barricade where we were and were bowing. Mithra gave people hi-fives, including us~ And as I observe my videos, my voice was almost gone cuz it was just cracking nonstop lolol But I remember we got the hi-fives. Me and Jess looked at each other, and I was like, “OH. MY. GOD!” I got that in my [IG story highlights]~ Also, Jess and I got hit with so much water LMAO Again, she looked like a cute wet puppy haha.

After that everyone started to clear out, except us VIP people who had the meet and greet included. So we headed upstairs. I’ll be honest… I was dying lmao Look, I’m 32. I get it. I’m old now. My knees, feet, and legs were aching. Legit, a few days before, my knee started hurting right where I had [my little accident] after flying back from the Epik High concert last year lolol It was like 11 PM. I was also just tired and hella sleepy. I was ready to pass out. Also, remember I was wearing my 3-inch heeled boots. I’d been standing in those for at least 6 hours straight lol Also, Jess and Loha were going on a trip to Vietnam and had to be at the airport in like 7 hours. They still needed to pack and shit. But yeah, we finally got our pic taken~ Admittedly, I like last year’s photo better. I look goofy AF. I was a total mess cuz of the water. Also my eyes had been watery AF all day, so my eye make up was fucked up lolol But I do like this M&G photo better than the Chicago one lmaooo I looked awful in that one LMAO At least I was fully awake and didn’t memory black out this time! It was a lot of fun. It was truly amazing~ Anyway, we came to the realization that there were two tiers of VIP tickets. I don’t think they ever did that before. Like, legit, we were surprised we were getting legit VIP cards and lanyards this time. Cuz before, it was just the usual wristband that you’d get at a club and throw away afterwards. Apparently, Loha and Jess didn’t really realize it either when they bought the tix. They just saw, “Tickets on sale! Buy VIP, aka most expensive ones!” LMAO But yeah, totally worked out for us haha. As usual of the VIP tix though, we did also get a signed tour poster to take home. And yeah, that’s it~ I went home, ate some fried chicken, and passed the fuck out. Jess and Loha took a nap, packed, and went off to Vietnam haha.

As for merch… The concert t-shirt is always a must for me for every concert I go to. Again, I don’t always do concerts. When I do, it’s cuz I really love the band and really wanted to be there. Although, I will admit that I did wear it a few days after the concert, and I don’t think I love the fit of the shirt. The collar was like hella thick and kinda awks and uncomfortable for me. It still cute though. I also definitely had to get the hoodie! I love hoodies. Epik High’s hoodies are always so damn comfy! And such great quality too! I got the beanie too~ Usually, I’m more of a cap girl. But my head is big and I look goofy with the caps cuz they always seem to small or fit my head weird. The beanies actually looked kinda cute and comfy. I liked it~ I also got a tote. Cuz I knew I needed a bag to carry all this shit during the concert. Jess is the MVP for going in the merch line at the beginning and getting me all this stuff haha. I love my bestiiiie~

Side note, y’all can see us in Tukutz’s [IG post]. You can see us reaaaaal clearly LMAOOOO You can also see Loha very clearly in Mithra’s [IG post] lolol I’m honestly so blessed to have awesome friends. I’m glad we all like Epik High and have been able to experience seeing them live 3 times now. Jess and Loha are also the bestest for getting us tickets for this year’s concert. I’m truly blessed with such amazing friends~ Definitely will be keeping the tradition up, and I can’t wait for our next Epik High concert adventure~ We’ll probably do a different city though haha. Just so we can explore. Also to not run into weirdos again, and so none of y’all can stalk us lolol By the way, I was going to add videos. However, like I said before, we were so close to the stage that the bass obliterated and distorted the audio quality pretty bad LMAO I was going to upload the salvageable bits. However, IG isn’t cooperating and letting me upload them. Although you can see part of the Map of the Soul performance from my [IG story highlights]. If I am ever able to upload those vids, I’ll be sure to edit and post ’em here~

Anyway, that’s it y’all. Thanks for reading this concert storytime~ I originally planned on making and finishing this post right after the concert. And I kinda did. I actually did start on the post when I got home that night before I passed out. But then I got caught up in enjoying the rest of my vacation for another week. I also then started getting sick with a cold on the day I flew back. Started getting a bit better, but wasn’t feeling well from something else too. Still kinda sick with cold symptoms even now too though… So yeah, that’s why y’all hadn’t heard from me in a long time. Also why this post be messier than I expected lolol Still, I had a blast and would do it again haha.
