Music Monday | More Winter Vibes

Hello BAYOG Fam!~ It’s Minty with a Music Monday post! Normally, I’d focus on a specific track, album, or EP. However, today’s post will just be a little list of recommendations. Honestly, it’s because most of the tracks I was feeling were so indie that there wasn’t that much info on the artists lolol But anyway, I thought I’d share some winter vibey tracks that I like anyway. These tracks basically come from my [K-Pop Trash Winter] playlist as well as my [Chill, Relax, & Vibe] BAYOG Playlists. They’re tracks that remind me of that winter vibe, or I can imagine myself listening to it while looking over some winter scenery~ It should be a nice intro to some new artists and tracks for y’all~ I also thought I’d list some of my other recommendations by those artists~

영준 Younjun (Brown Eyed Soul), SAAY, dress | 달링(Darling)

This is probably one of the more… happier songs on this playlist. It’s kind of dreamy, whimsical, sweet, and upbeat. This is a track by Youngjun of Brown Eyed Soul. I hadn’t heard a song from Brown Eyed Soul in a while. They’re a really well-known R&B vocal group from the early 2000s. They’re kind of reminiscent of Boyz II Men in a way. They all have great vocals. One of my faves is their 2003 hit [‘My Everything’]. Their stuff isn’t your current K-R&B and K-Pop kind of stuff. It’s more reminiscent of early 2000s R&B vocal stuffs, but they do have great vocals. Again, if you like music from artists like Boyz II Men or Brian McKnight, you’ll probably like Brown Eyed Soul’s stuff like [‘Always Be There’] or [‘너를 (You)’]. I also recommend them if you’re into [g.o.d]’s R&B ballads. This is also caught my attention because of SAAY, who is a great female K-R&B artist. If you’re looking for more tracks with SAAY, I recommend [‘Don’t Know’] as well as Punchnello’s [‘Winter Blossom (Feat. SAAY) (Prod. by 0channel)’]

cott(콧) | blue winter (Feat. PERC%NT)

I got into this track because I love PERC%NT. Y’all might recognize him from a [K-R&B remake] of Red Velvet’s [‘Dumb Dumb’]. I love how he has this smooth, soothing, and like classy sound and vibe to his voice and music. I definitely recommend checking out his other songs like [‘Petal Fortune(꽃잎점) (LISTEN 024)’], [‘Weekend (LISTEN 003)’], and [‘Rabbit Hole (Feat. SUMIN)’]. I believe cott(콧) is an indie duo? Again, couldn’t find much information on them. However, they do have some really great tracks with soft vibes. Tracks I recommend to check out include [‘하필(HOW YOU FEEL?)’], [‘a particular thing (별일) (feat. 박재정 Parc jae jung)’], [‘cement’], and [‘VELVET (feat. onthedal)’]

오반 (OVAN), 빈첸 (VINXEN) | 눈송이 (Snowflake)

I recognize Ovan from [Shaun]’s [‘생각나 (Thinking Of) (Feat. Ovan & Sunmin)’] and [‘She is (Feat. Ovan)’]. He has a lot of great tracks and collabs as well. I recommend checking out his track with Soyou called [‘Rain Drop(비가 오잖아)’]. Some other faves of mine include [‘행복 (Happiness)’], [‘성탄절 장미(Christmas Rose) (Feat.이바다(LEEBADA))’], [‘Missed Call(전화를 할까봐)’], [‘불 좀 꺼줄래 Please turn off the lights’], as well as his track with Van.C [‘sleeplessness(불면) (不眠)’]. If you like Vinxen, some of my faves include [‘Flying High With U‘] and Babylon’s [‘One More Night (Feat. Vinxen)’]

차우 (Chawoo) | 눈이 와 (It Snows)

I’ve really loved listening to Chawoo lately. He’s also got some great tracks as well. Some of my recommended faves would be [‘Sad’], [‘세상살이(Life) (Feat. 러비 Lovey)’],[‘잠은 안오고 밤은 기네 (A Sleepless Night)’], and [‘Honey (Feat. Crucial Star)’]. He has alot of really other great songs you can listen to on Spotify too~ This is one of my faves lately because I can just envision watching the snow fall while listening to this~

빈센트블루 (Vincent Blue) | 눈이와 (It’s Snowing)

Vincent Blue is one of my more recent-ish discoveries over the past year or two. His voice and music gives me clean, classy, and fluttery kind of vibes? Some of my faves include [‘Stupid(한심해)’], [‘It’s Raining(비가와)’], and [‘꿈 (Dream)’]

KozyPop | Winter Bless (Feat. Aden, HYXE & H!)

Honestly, I have no info for anyone on this track lol. I just love tracks from Kozypop though. It’s basically “cosy K-Pop”. Kozypop is how I find out about alot of indie/K-R&B artists and tracks. Pretty sure that’s also how I found Youngjun’s ‘Darling’ too. I highly recommend following them on YouTube or Spotify if you’re ever wanting to try some new music and artists.

Nason | Snowman in my room (Feat. amin)

I love Nason. I love his vocals and his tracks. I think I discovered him from collabs with alot of other K-R&B artists that I like. Some of my faves that I recommend include [‘Keep Your Eyes On Me’] with Kumira, Rheehab’s [‘거짓말아니야 (No Lie) (Feat. Nason)’], [‘사이 (feat. D2ear)(prod. by Seo Mary)’], as well as [‘다음에 봐 (See you) (with Noair, Nason)’] by 에이민 (amin) & 뎁트 (Dept).

LambC | December

Lastly, we have LambC. I’ve previously covered him on a [previous Music Monday post]. This track, like several of LambC’s tracks, is in English. It’s a very chill, cozy, and sweet song. It’s another one of our more sweet and happy tracks on today’s post~ If you wanna check out some of LambC’s other tracks, some of my recommended faves include [‘Fallin”], [‘Love Like That’], [‘Lady’], [‘Four Seasons’], and [‘Turnin”],
