Music Monday|BAYOG Playlist — Live Cafe Vibes
Hello BAYOG Fam!~ As I said from my [Dynamite Covers] post, I’m taking a mini-break to recover a bit from burn out~ But I wanted to leave you with something for Music Monday still~ Today’s Music Monday is a slightly different BAYOG Playlist post~ I told you guys that I think fall is the perfect time for cafe/coffeeshop vibes. So my last BAYOG Playlist post was my [BAYOG Cafe/Coffeeshop Playlist]. It’s basically what I thought went well with cafe/coffeeshop vibes, and what I’d honestly play if I had my own shop~ Anyway, I was thinking that sometimes I want that live cafe/coffeeshop kind of vibe. So TADAAAH~ That’s what we’re doing for this post!~ I made a little YouTube playlist with some of my favorite live performance vids. So that way it feels like you’re listening to live music while you enjoy your coffee or whatever~ Most of these are live/acoustic performances of tracks that appear in the BAYOG Cafe/Coffeeshop Playlist~

SOME OF MY FAVORITES
IU Feat. LOCO| Palette
This is an acoustic version featuring Loco with a tweaked rap~ The original track featured G-Dragon of BigBang~ I honestly love this version so much and now I want a studio version of it~
LOCO Feat. IU| Can’t Sleep
The original track featured Heize and appeared on LOCO’s new mini album. The album is a fresh release since he’s finished his military service. To be honest, I really like this version alot. I think I actually like it more than the original version with Heize.
CRUSH| 가끔 (Sometimes)
I already loved the original version, but this live band version hits different. I love it so much, and I love how they’re really having fun as they perform it~
CHAI(이수정) Feat. Sam Kim| Color You
This is one of my favorite duets. I love CHAI’s (Crystal Yi/ Lee Soo Jung) and Sam Kim’s voices. They both have such wonderfully smooth and soulful voices. They go together so well~ The live version with the band just ughhh it hits different too and I love iiiiit~
CRUSH| CEREAL
This is one of the more upbeat tracks. However, this is another case where the live band version just hits different. It’s definitely nice to groove along to with the band~
CRUSH| 놓아줘 (Let Me Go Now)
This track originally features Taeyeon from Girls’ Generation (SNSD). It’s from his latest EP, HER. Honestly, the whole album is great~ This is probably my favorite track though. It’s a sad song, but I love how soft and soulful it sounds.
선재 (snzae)| 꺼내 먹어요 (Eat)
This track is originally by Zion.T. I really loved the original, and I think all my friends know it’s one of my favorite K-R&B tracks. It’s definitely my favorite Zion.T track. I love how snzae (aka Kim Sun Jae) made it even softer and slower. It’s just absolutely beautiful and soothing.
PENOMECO| No. 5
I love Penomeco and his music. I really liked No. 5, which originally featured Crush. This live band version is a totally different vibe from the original. I think I actually like this live band version more. It’s got a slower, chill r&b vibe. It’s just so pretty to listen to.
PENOMECO| Insomnia(불면증)
This track and Hotel Lobby only appeared for this Onstage 2.0 performance. It’s a shame because they’re both really great and I would love a studio version. Insomnia has a dark, heavy, and sad vibe to it. However, I really like hearing that dark and sad vibe paired with Penomeco’s soulful singing. I think Penomeco considers himself more of a rapper than a singer, but he honestly has such nice vocals. Dude always makes such great music too.
Lee Hi| Rose
This acoustic version is slower and softer than the original. I actually like this acoustic version better as well. I think it just seems more emotional since it’s just the basics of Lee Hi’s vocals and simple instrumental accompaniment.
Lee Su Hyun (AKMU) x Crush| Romeo N Juliet
The original track is by Clazziquai Project. It’s an old track from 2007, but one of my favorite Clazziquai tracks. I loved Alex’s and Horan’s vocals in the original. I love this more simple and soft acoustic version so much. You guys know I freakin’ love Crush. I also love Lee Su Hyun’s sweet, bright, and light vocals. They go together so well, and this acoustic version just sounded so incredibly sweet.
Colde(콜드)| 와르르♥ (WA-R-R)
Again, you guys know Colde is another one of my favorite K-R&B singers. I love his tracks, as well as his offonoff tracks.
Sam Kim| It’s You
This track originally featured ZICO. It’s my favorite Sam Kim track. However, to hear it with a live band?! I love it even more. I love Sam because of his soulful vocals, and you really hear it in this live version.
IU| eight
This track originally featured and was produced by Suga of BTS. I loved the original, but I really love this acoustic version of it. Again, I just like how it’s a stripped and simple version that highlights IU’s vocals~ It’s just dreamy and soothing to listen to.
DEAN| what2do
You all know Dean is my top favorite K-R&B artist. This track originally featured Crush and Filipino-American singer, Jeff Bernat. The live band version arrangement is just so beautiful. Sad, but so beautiful~
DEAN| D (half moon)
This is my absolute favorite K-R&B track and my favorite track from Dean. This track originally featured Gaeko of Dynamicduo. The live band version hits different from the studio version. I love this slower and slightly more chill version. It’s not as chill as a stripped acoustic version. But it definitely has a softer and slightly more dreamy feel to it.
Zion.T| 눈 (Snow)
This track originally featured Lee Moon Sae. The original was already a very emotional ballad. But this live version with the band and violins? It’s got me emotional. It’s really beautiful and just hits harder emotionally.
CHAI(이수정)| It’s Alright
I’ll end the post with another CHAI track. 2020 has been a tough time y’all. Fall is also when people seem to be going through depression and anxiety more than usual. So I wanted to end with a positive song. Things are tough, but it’s alright…every little will be alright.
