Music Monday|Red Velvet — RBB (Really Bad Boy) [Spoop Fest]
HI BAYOG FAM! Again, I know. I’ve been awful with Spoop Fest posts this year. I promise I’m trying to work on 2-3 non-music Spoop Fest posts. Also, don’t forget we do have a [horror game giveaway]. So go check that out if you’re interested in spoopy games. Anyway, y’all know it’s Monday. So we got another Spoop Fest themed Music Monday post today! I promise to make it short~ We’re continuing with another Red Velvet track! Last week I shared [“Peek-A-Boo”]. Today’s track is “RBB (Really Bad Boy)”~

Yeah, I’m going to skip the artist background info since I literally covered that in the previous Music Monday post~ lol You’re welcome to check it out on that “Peek-A-Boo” post~ Anyway, “RBB (Really Bad Boy)” is from Red Velvet’s 5th EP. It was also titled RBB. The EP includes the original version as well as an official English version. Although, I personally prefer the Korean version more. I chose this song since the concept and MV were clearly Halloween and old horror movie inspired. The song itself is an R&B and upbeat dance pop track. If I were to be honest, “RBB” isn’t one of my favorite songs. I don’t hate it. I just prefer alot of their other songs. When I first listened to it, I definitely wasn’t into it. The screams (shrieking, really) in the track definitely fit the spoopy theme. However, it threw me off. And I don’t think I liked hearing screaming suddenly so…lol However, “RBB” grew on me as I did really start to like parts of the track. It’s different from their other songs. I believe it did have mixed to positive reactions. However, the great thing about this track is how unapologetically confident and bold they seemed in this track. So I give them props for that. I also think the ladies looked amazing. Their hair and makeup looks were flawless. I especially love Irene’s looks. However, they’re honestly gorgeous as hell. Also, I just wanna drop that I also liked “Butterflies” on this EP~

RBB (REALLY BAD BOY)
Again, we have 2 versions of “RBB (Really Bad Boy)”~ We have the Korean version and the English version. Thus, there are two music videos. There’s one for each version. Again, the whole video is very Halloween and old school horror movie themed. You got this werewolf dude just showing up around the members. They’re singing in a freakin’ graveyard. And again, Halloween themed stuff everywhere. It’s not my favorite MV, and I honestly don’t find it super remarkable. However, it is cute in it’s own way. I do like seeing the nods to some classic horror movies and horror movie tropes in there. Plus, bruhhhh…. The ladies were so prettyyyy. I’m legitimately jelly and in awe. I really, really love their hair and makeup so much~ hehe~
