ORESUKI Are You The Only One Who Loves Me? | Episode 2 Review
Last we saw Joro, he was in quite the pickle. As someone who planned everything to someday be confessed to by a beautiful classmate, everything backfires leading him to be a side character. The only girl to love him is a gloomy girl running the library that he calls Pansy. What can possibly go wrong from here now that he has signed up as a wingman to both of the girls that were supposed to confess to him? THAT, my friends, we learn today in episode 2 of Oresuki titled “I’m attacked by an impossible spiral.”
This episode like the last episode starts with Joro in some kind of terrible scenario with us having to learn what got him here in the first place. After another bench encounter last episode, he is told to meet with Pansy and he gives his progress report on the two women he is wingmaning(I don’t think wingmaning is right but I like it so it stays).
We then learn that both girls have come up with great ideas to get closer to Sun but both have decided it would be best to give all responsibility to Joro to make it happen. I kind of agree with Joro in this situation. As funny as these girls are when attempting to talk to Sun I couldn’t help but feel bad for Joro. Yes, he did agree to help these girls get close to him but come on, you can’t just put everything on him because you came up with a last-minute idea. I remember being put in this situation as a kid. It sucks!
The best part of the episode is we get an appearance from the best character of this series, BENCH-KUN! After Pansy brings to Joro’s attention that Sun might like someone else, Joro is brought back into another battle with Bench-kun while Sun confesses that he is love with Pansy. WHAT. Not going to lie, I was half assuming that he was going to say he was in love with Joro but this works too. Unfortunately, now we are getting into GAMERS! territory with the crazy amount of confusing love triangles.
Everything after this moment was just hard to watch with all of the misunderstandings but the toughest moment is Joro asking Pansy her thoughts on Sun. It was pretty insensitive of him to ask knowing that she is in love with him. I’m unsure as to whether it was him trying to get her to stop liking Joro or to make his best friend happy. It’s hard to truly read his intentions at this point. Though after all of these shenanigans, we now find everyone in the library and it seems like Pansy set everything up. How much though? I have a sneaky suspicion that this was all planned from the start but we will have to wait and see on the next episode!
We are only on episode 2 and this series is just getting ridiculous. Almost everything has fallen apart on Joro and I really don’t see any way for him to pick up the pieces.
Overall, I’m still enjoying the series but it might become really hard to watch really fast. I believe it all depends on what happens in the next episode. I’m really looking forward to seeing what kind of “happy ending” can come out of this so I’ll likely watch all 12 episodes. We’ll see next week! I’ll be here next Monday!

Haha! I was sure he was going to confess his love to Joro, too! That ending though. Can’t wait to see how he gets out of this.
I have no idea how he is getting out of this one! Looking forward to Bench-kun’s next appearance.
