Utada Hikaru’s Laughter In The Dark Tour is on Netflix?!

EXCUSE ME! I HAVE AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT! Y’ALL. UTADA’S LAUGHTER IN THE DARK TOUR 2018 IS UP ON NETFLIX!!! Woo…okay…let me calm down and try this again…

Hihi BAYOG Fam! I think that by now, you all know that I love Utada Hikaru [Evident Here, Here, and Here]. She’s literary one of the most legendary Queens of J-Pop. I loved her before Kingdom Hearts, and I love all of her music. Music styles and artists can change over time. Despite that, her music always has that Utada Hikaru feel. Despite the changes, I still always love her music; The classics and the current releases. It’s always been a dream of mine to meet her and attend one of her concerts. There was one year where I was lucky enough to see her in person (although from a distance). It was at a Sephora in Miami. She basically had a little promo tour for her This Is The One album. Though I didn’t get to talk to her, I was fortunate to get an autographed photo. That was already a crazy, and extremely rare event. Although I would love to attend her concert, it feels impossible for me.

After the release of Kingdom Hearts III, it was announced that you could get an up close and personal experience of her Laughter In The Dark Tour 2018 through PlayStation VR. I really wished I could’ve, but I don’t have PSVR T~T

However, imagine my excitement when I just heard that Netflix would have her Laughter In the Dark 2018 Tour! Y’all. I’m stoked. Not gonna lie, it seems random AF. However, I’m grateful for it! I’ll take it! I also heard that Utada personally did the translations too! Which I think is great! I remember Utada saying that she was fascinated by people’s translations. She’s interested in how people interpret her work. Utada translating everything herself means that it gives us a closer and more personal look into her intended meanings of the music~

Utada performed classics like “Traveling”, as well as her newer tracks like “道”. I haven’t had time to finish the whole concert. However, it’s Utada. She never disappoints.
