Throwback Thursday| The Sims 4 — I made BAYOG

Why hello BAYOG fam!~ A month flew by hella fast because I guess it’s my turn for Throwback Thursday again!~ I spent alot of time thinking what I wanted to do. So I went through my list. At the same time, I’d been a bit stressed out. I was also back home with my sister, and we had decided to play one of our favorite games together: The Sims; More specifically, we played The Sims 4.

If you didn’t know, The Sims games are basically life simulation games by Electronic Arts. The original The Sims game came out back in 2000. It was a hit and The Sims franchise grew and improved. The latest version of the game’s franchise is The Sims 4. It was released in 2014. The game is essentially a virtual doll house. You create your characters, known as Sims, and control them as well. You can also build and decorate your homes.

Now, I’ve always loved The Sims franchise. I basically owned every generation of the game for PC: The Sims (2000), The Sims 2 (2004), The Sims 3 (2009), and obviously The Sims 4 (2014). I had just about every expansion pack as well. I also had one of The Sims games for PlayStation 2, as well as The Sims: Bustin’ Out for Gameboy Advance. I actually had put this on my list for TBT topics because a few months ago, Loha ( @loheezy ) happened to be playing The Sims 4 and decided to make BAYOG~

Loha made BAYOG~

The franchise has come a long way. Out of the games, I liked Sims 3 and Sims 4 the most. Both were great in that there are even more options to customize your characters, and build and decorate your homes. Although, Sims 3 had much more options for customizing every little thing. There were also some issues with Sims 4, from missing content that had usually been included in every previous version of the franchise. I still enjoy playing Sims 4 though. It’s a fun way to kind of live the life you wish you could have…like being massively rich. Some people enjoy playing the game and making little stories. It’s also just fun to play god and destroy and ruin all the things too…

Making Kenny~

I also just really enjoy making characters. Ever since Loha show us his Sims creation of us, I felt like giving it a try myself. It’s fun and it can be great because it’d can be pretty detailed. You can basically play around with everything from facial features, hair, make up, etc. However, it also sucks because it can be so time consuming haha.

Choosing outifts for Nick
Make up~ Yaaaaassss~

I’ll take 1-2 hours making just one character, setting their personalities, and setting their clothes. Fortunately, I finished making all five of us within 2 hours? Which is basically a miracle for me..

BAYOG!~

Anyway, I finished making us. However, I will admit I got lazy. Also I can’t ever make an accurate version of myself to save my life.. Uh, I got hella lazy on personalities though. Sorry fam. I tried using Loha’s version as a guide.

The me that looks nothing like like me…unless I wear a ton of make up and use the Snow camera app… *shrug*
Nick…? @rokutsu
Kenny…? @blackandyellowog
Marc…? @cmdrcluckcluck
Bruh…you were one of the hardest one…so I gave up.
Lastly, Loha @loheezy
Um…I’m sorry bro…You were the last one. I just completely gave up at that point…

The other thing I love most about the game is being able to build things. Rather than actually using the game to play with the characters and all, I actually use the game for building. I just like building different houses and decorating everything. It’s kind of therapeutic. It’s also a great stress reliever for me. Mostly because I’m so focused on every little thing.

Truthfully, I had stopped playing The Sims for nearly 2 years now. I loved the game. I even built a dozen different homes. Sadly, my game was completely ruined just like my Animal Crossing game. I was babysitting some kids and they begged to play the game. I told they could, but they couldn’t mess with any of my builds. They said, “Okay!” Yeah, don’t trust kids… Still, this TBT post gave me an opportunity to try to get back into the game.

The Sims games are great because there isn’t really one right way to play it. It’s what you make of it. You can play it for the characters, the stories, to be a god, or to build. It’s your game and your world. There are endless possibilities. So who else has played one of these games? What’s your favorite thing to do? Do you like being a merciful or cruel god? Do you enjoy building like me? Or perhaps you just like seeing how your Sims’ stories unfold?~
