What to expect from My Hero Academia Season 3/ New PV is out!

PLUS ULTRA! Hey guys, not sure if you heard but My Hero Academia comes back next month. WOOOOOOOO. I’m pretty pumped but somethings did come to mind when I thought about this upcoming season. At the end of season two, I finally made the grave decision to read the manga because I COULDN’t WAIT! The suspense was killing me, even if they didn’t leave much to be suspenseful about. Well, I thought now is a better time than any to voice some thoughts I have about how the next season is going to play out. I’m not going to spoil anything for you but I want to let you know what to look forward to and discuss how much of this may be filler. It’s a fair concern. Now, let’s jump right in!

So, I had a bunch of things to talk about in this post BUT the new MHA PV came out today and it may have given me all the answers I needed. If you haven’t watched it yet, check it out!

As a manga reader, there is so much to look forward to in this season. There’s one specific scene that people who read the manga would always say, “I can’t wait to see this animated. It will blow everyone’s mind.” I agree. There’s a handful of fight scenes that I have read that I absolutely cannot wait to see animated. As much as this story has heart, Bones Studio really ties it all together so nicely with a minimal amount of fillers.

One concern I had about this season was we may finally get actual arc fillers. Even if the series is as far along as it is in the manga, we should consider ourselves lucky that we haven’t had a full season of filler yet. I say this based on experience with all the other Shounen Jump anime like Naruto, Bleach and One Piece. This is just to be expected. That concern may have been for nothing after seeing this PV.

IF this season is two cours, like season two, we should not have any fillers. Because of how they pace in the anime, we may have two very good arcs back to back, one per cour. This is exciting! There’s a ton of great character development for everyone and some plot points that haven’t been fully fleshed out, get the attention that is needed. Exciting stuff!

Now, what can you expect from MHA Season 3?

  1. More insight on quirks
  2. A more confident Deku
  3. Some big fights that will make those of previous seasons look weak
  4. More of these two

I can go on and on but this is probably the most spoiler-free I can go at this point. The main point here is, this season is going to be WILD. I’m excited. Even if I know what is going to happen, I just can’t wait to see how well Bones will execute on the animation. They have yet to prove me wrong. If we do get fillers, I know it will be fine. Let’s not forget that Froppy episode!

I know this is a quick post but just something that I was thinking about and I’m still trying to get back into the habit of writing to voice my opinions. Thanks for taking the time to read this and hope you have a wonderful weekend! Blackatron signing off.
