Borderline Hentai Turned Lesbian Awakening

Borderline Hentai Turned Lesbian Awakening

I’m going to be completely honest here. I watched Netsuzou Trap -NTR- for the yuri and near-hentai scenes. When the near-hentai stopped not even halfway through I started disliking this show. I mean yay, the girls are finally happy but man, it was a painful 9 minutes each week to watch. I was not enjoying the latter half of the show but I kept watching for some odd reason. If it were a full-length, 23-minute long episode series, I absolutely would not have watched it.

The story revolves around two girls, Yuma and Hotaru, and their rather irrelevant “boyfriends.” Hotaru starts “fake” kissing and fondling Yuma as a joke. But these ended up affecting Yuma to the point that her boyfriend, Takeda, broke up with her under suspicion she’s not actually interested in him and loves another person. I honestly feel sorry for Takeda, he’s the only good character and ended up in the worst position by the end of the story. Yuma realized she’s actually in love with Hotaru and Hotaru learns Yuma is actually serious about their relationship. I also couldn’t care less about Fujiwara, he’s got possibly the worst personality of all the 4 main characters (I say main like there were any named characters lol).

Art at least was good. It was pretty to look at and even if there was the magical mist or whatnot censoring, it all at least made sense in the context of the setting. Music was alright, the OP song is catchy, but mostly because I enjoyed the guitar riff that opened it. Voice acting was pretty good. I can safely say NTR is a very pretty show.

Short review for a short series. Overall the show has a sub-par story with characters that aren’t all that spectacular. The art is good but that’s the only redeeming quality of the show in my opinion. If you got a thing for NTR and yuri, go ahead and give this a watch because it might satisfy you in that sense. But for any other audience, it will score closer to a 5 or 6 out of 10. Save yourself the 9 minutes from this show and watch one of the other shorts that came out this season like Aho-Girl or Tsuredure Children.

  1. I’m still tossing up whether to go back and binge this series now that it is done, though reviews like this are definitely helping me lean towards the pass side of that internal argument.

    1. It was hard for me to keep watching it later in the series but I felt like I had to finish it so everyone else didn’t need to haha. I think part of me was also hoping for something a little more interesting in the end too.

    2. If you like that kinda steamy soap-opera-esque style drama, and a sort of coming-out story, I would say give it a watch, it’s not for the faint of heart, that is for sure, especially when it focuses around Fujiwara who, let’s face it, is a great big pile of shit the whole way through, but there’s enough to probably validate at least one sitting through, seeing as it is so short.
